The Story
To support the development of its digital private banking platform, Alpian partnered with us for long-term end-to-end (E2E) product development. From the outset, our experts became a seamless extension of Alpian’s engineering organisation rather than functioning as an external vendor.
Our engineers embedded directly into Alpian’s product squads across key domains, including Payments, Banking Foundations, Investments, and Customer Experience. They participated in work planning, contributed to architectural decisions, collaborated closely with Alpian’s product managers and designers, and shared full ownership of delivery outcomes. This deep integration enabled accelerated development while maintaining the quality and compliance standards required in a highly regulated Swiss banking environment.
The Challenge
Building a fully digital private bank posed several challenges. Alpian needed to deliver complex banking, payment, and investment capabilities at speed, without compromising regulatory compliance or security. Integrating multiple financial domains into a single, cohesive platform required close alignment between engineering, product, and design teams.
Additional complexity arose from the need to modernise core banking functionality, support multi-currency accounts, enable advanced payment flows, and ensure a consistent user experience across mobile platforms. The Results
The collaboration resulted in the successful delivery of several mission-critical platform components that now form the backbone of Alpian’s digital private banking experience. These included a modern payment solution with QR and recurring payment capabilities, secure account and client management infrastructure, pension and investment portfolio modules, and a complete revamp of Alpian’s mobile banking application for iOS and Android.
